Reviewing Chowdeck Vendors Pt.2

Welcome back to our mini-series on 'Reviewing Chowdeck Vendors'. So today I will be reviewing a vendor I have ordered from multiple times. So the thing is, I usually get burger cravings from time to time and these guys are my go-to 'burger craving satisfiers'. Allow me to introduce to you - MR KRUMS (the caps is intentional and important).

MR KRUMS has a large variety of meals on their menu and I will probably do another review on this guys cause I want to try all they have to offer. In case you are wondering why I want to try more of what they have, yup, you guessed right, I enjoyed this meal.

Let me give you a sneak peak of what their menu looks like, from Burgers - Apple tart - Cheesecake - Cinnamon Roll - Onions Rings - Chicken Wings - Fries - Pasta & Noodles. This is a good place to pitch your tent if you are looking for a dirty bulk.

I ordered the Double Chesseburger with Fries (cause I came here looking for a burger and cravings must be satisfied). So let's talk about my experience. I'll be using my 'Chowdeck rating metrics' of D-P-P-F-W. Don't worry, you'll find out what this means as we go on (check the pointers)

DELIVERY TIME

Well Chowdeck don't disappoint with this as usual, I wonder how they get the riders to be so timely and polite. It took less than 30mins for this order to be delivered to me and the guy rode a bicycle. He should probably represent us (Nigeria) in the Olympics. Good job Chowdeck.

PACKAGING / PRESENTATION

Before I go any further I'll like to apologise cause I totally forgot to take pictures of the food while eating, I cleared the chow and remembered later. I know some will be reading and wondering "If there's no picture how do we know if you are saying the truth"

Just believe me please. I no fit lie give you.

Lessons learnt : Don't plan to do food content when you are hungry.

But yeah, it was packaged well. The only thing I didn't like was that the fries were kept in this 'thin paper' kind of thing, so the steam from the burger cause condensation in the bag and the paper was a bit wet. Besides that, it was good packaging

PORTION SIZE

It's almost impossible to see a large size burger in Lagos (if you know any place pls let me know). So going with this in mind, I can't really complain about the size plus we are in the $BAT season so you know how that is. But still, a larger size of the burger won't hurt. I wasn't too impressed.

The portion of the fries however was okay. It didn't feel too much like a side piece, so this was good.

FOOD QUALITY AND TASTE

Absolute banger. But wait, if you are expecting a 5star Gordon Ramsey style burger, no, this isn't what you will get. I'm aware Burgers have a spectrum and no, this isn't a high end burger so don't expect that (I should probably have a writeup where I rank different burgers according to their price point).

I enjoyed the double cheeseburger, the bread was soft and the patty was cooked well, the fries were unsalted, which I liked and appreciate. I like that it (the fries) wasn't salted, it gives people who don't like salted fries the opportunity to enjoy it and hey, if you like salted fries, you can always add salt to it, so a win-win.

Yeah I cleared this meal so I can't front. I'll give them a 3.5/5 (I want to be less generous with my ratings)

CONCLUSION

For the price point, MR KRUMS is worth it. I will most likely be back here to try something else and of course, give my review on it.
