I have been ordering my meals from Chowdeck lately and I decided to start a mini-series were I review vendors who sell food on the app. Welcome to 'Reviewing Chowdeck Vendors' *inserts theme song*. In this article I will be reviewing is called a vendor called HNH Restaurant.

I had been craving Village Rice (Palm-oil Rice) for some time and was looking for where I could get some. I went to the community center (Twitter) to search for places I could get some, and to my surprise a lot of people recommended HNH Restaurant as the go to place, not just for their Village Rice, but for all the food items in their menu.
The HNH Restaurant menu mainly focuses on Nigerian food, so item like Rice (all the rices), Yam, Spaghetti, Pastry snacks (meat pie and friends) but surprisingly, they have no swallow on the menu. Let's talk about my experience.
DELIVERY TIME
I'm pretty sure you've all heard about how quickly Chowdeck processes and delivers orders. I'm here to let you know it's not a myth or a fairytale, they are that quick. My order was accepted, processed, picked up and delivered in about 42mins (from Yaba to Ikeja). Kudos to Chowdeck.
PACKAGING / PRESENTATION
I've had terrible experiences in the past with meals being delivered, mostly due to poor packaging, the 'smoothness' of Lagos roads would have taken a toll on the food before it gets to my doorstep, but this wasn't the case with this. Chowdeck had ensured that the meal was well secured so Lagos couldn't happen to it (I promise this is not a sponsored post).

PORTION SIZE
One of the things that frustrates me with ordering food online is I don't get to see the portion sizes, and this is a big deal to me. I believe 70% of a restaurants appeal is in the size of their portions. HNH Restaurant got this right.
On the Chowdeck app they don't have an option for you to choose the number of portions you want for your meal, what they have are combos and you just choose what you want. So one of my doubts was with the portion size, and when it came, I was impressed.
FOOD QUALITY AND TASTE
I ordered Village Rice, Beef, Egg and Plantain (this was a combo). From the very first spoonful of the Village Rice, my taste buds were transported to a flavourful haven of culinary delight. I enjoyed every spoon of the village rice, it was well prepared and tasted so good.

I usually have the thing under my tongue when I eat palm-oil foods, but I didn't have that with this. The beef was tender and juicy, the plantain was the golden brown standard, the egg - well if you mess up boiled egg, you might as well close down the restaurant.
Overall, it was a well prepared meal. Kudos to the chef.

WALLET HIT
Village Rice, Beef (2), Egg, Plantain - N2,600
Delivery - N1,200
Service Fee - N0 RATING (TENDENCY TO LICK PLATE)
I literally ate every grain of rice available in the pack, so yeah I'll give them a solid 5/5
CONCLUSION
My first meal from HNH Restaurant was a delight and well worth it. They will definitely be seeing more of my orders. Through this blog post, I aimed to capture the essence of HNH Restaurant and share my personal encounter with this remarkable dish.
Whether you're a fellow food enthusiast or simply seeking to explore new culinary horizons, I hope my review has provided you with valuable insights and inspiration for your own gastronomic escapades.
Thank you for joining me on this exploration and also suggest what vendor I should try next on the Chowdeck app. Until we 'meat' next time, happy eating!
Is the app available in all regions of Nigeria or it’s just in Lagos?
